APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduating senior at LCMR
Current member of the LCMR lacrosse team for a minimum of 2 years
GPA of 2.5 or greater
3 written letters of recommendation or personal character references: adults and non-relatives only with one from a lacrosse coach (LCMR Varsity or Travel)
Short essay
Transcripts upon request
Admittance to a college, university, or trade school and maintenance of a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
If awarded, applicant is willing to be a member of The Luke Lare Memorial Scholarship Post-Graduation Mentorship Program, where they will help awarded applicants throughout their college or trade school enrollment by offering advice on their education, experience, and professional career, as well as assistance to board members when screening future applicants.

1. Are you a member of any clubs, teams, or other extracurriculars at Lower Cape May Regional or in the community?
2. Have you volunteered in the community? If so, tell us about it.
3. What are your academic and career goals?
4. How are you unique as a friend, teammate, or family member? Discuss your background, interests, or talent.
5. Who is your role model or someone you look up to, and why?
6. What will you use the scholarship funds for?
7. Are you receiving other scholarship awards or aid to pay your tuition?
8. Why did you choose your particular university, college, or trade school?
9. Are you willing to give back your time to the Post-Graduation Mentorship Program? This includes providing post-graduation mentorship as needed to awarded applicants throughout their college or trade school enrollment and/or assistance to board members when screening future applicants. For example, if you graduate college and become a teacher or go through a trade school program and become a hairdresser, you are willing to discuss your personal experience with future individuals to help answer questions they may have and guide them in the right direction.

The Luke Lare Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to new recipient/s in the amount of $5,000 through a check made out to the institution of attendance, payable over 4 years of college/university attendance or the duration of trade school attendance.
